I haven't forgotten about you...

It's been a while, hasn't it?  

It's been a busy year.  Of course the majority of time goes to my children and my responsibilities at home, but I've also been quite busy unraveling sweaters, and making plarn bags (eight of them!) for a client in Canada.

Hopefully I'll be able to get back into blogging before long.  But for now, I just thought I would stop in to let you know that I've opened a destash shop on Etsy.

This will be my place to unload various leftover skeins and odds and ends, in larger lots, at discounted prices.  Of course, for luxury yarn sold by the skein, Thoughtful Rose Supply is still the place to go. :)

Cashmere Scarf, Finished At Last

My recycled-yarn shop has been keeping me busy, so unfinished projects (all gazillion of them) have been moved to the back burner for a while.  However, I did finally find the time to finish this recycled cashmere scarf.

It's beautiful.  It drapes perfectly and is deliciously soft.  Here's a peek:

I tried to take a photo of the scarf on a person (me) but I am terrible at modeling my own creations.  I think I need a few more tools to make the self-modeling easier--like a tripod, for one thing, and a big mirror, for another.  Or I could give up on modeling my own scarves, and buy a dress form--not as personal, but so much easier!  I haven't made up my mind yet.
